Community
The New Testament model for church is so much more than merely a weekly event. It includes a deep sense of community—growing, supporting and living out our faith together.
Often this happens organically, sharing meals or coffee together, doing activities together, serving one another, and the like. But it can be helpful to do this more regularly through intentional programming as well.
Nursery
We believe children are a gift from God and seek to provide a loving and safe place for the youngest in our midst to grow to become worshipers of God. During our Sunday worship service we provide a nursery for infants and toddlers through preschool. Children will hear a short Bible story, sing a children's worship song together, and then be prayed over individually.
Children's Sunday School
Our elementary-aged children meet once a month at Cabin Coffee from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. during the school year for Sunday school.
Junior & Senior High
The junior and senior high youth groups meet separately on Sunday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. The typical format for our meetings is to spend the first 35 minutes in conversation, games and a snack and the final 25 minutes is given to a Bible study.
Adults
We have three small groups meeting on Sunday afternoons/evenings, where participants share a meal together, pray together, and read & discuss a Christian book together.
A group meets for prayer from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
We have a couple of women’s Bible studies, one on Mondays from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and another on Wednesdays from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
The men enjoy good food, God’s word and conversation together on the first Saturday of each month for a men’s breakfast from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.
All Church Activities
Though we do have some age-specific programs, we also value the generations interacting together. One way we encourage this is through occasional all-church activities such as potluck meals, church picnics, game days, baptism services, etc.
